Literature Text

I am the child of a spring well hidden.
The field my playground
The Forest my freedom
Ancient wisdom the lullaby that sang in my soul

I am the Walker of green glades ephemeral, everlasting.
The Horse my comforting constant
The Stag my mystery manifesting
Their trails my path to the lap of the Mother of all..

I am the Stone bathed by the stream of lives unnumbered
My spirit resounding of rhythms primordial
My hands rebirthing them for tomorrow's tune
Alive in me eternally while it is remembered
To both am I bound in honor and Art.

I am a well of Worlds that wait new birthing.
My Shining Shadow-life
To be patterned for play.
All that's passed before engendered and enduring
foundation to height And set forth in games.

Who but I would join the Sylph and the Starship?
Who but I would call forth the Droid and the Dragon?
Who but I would make wings woven of webs electric
And stretch them to span a shattered sky?
This is a poem I wrote a while ago for a class. It's heavily influenced by the famous Song of Amergin but really it's about me and my dreams of the time; some of which have had to be edited a bit recently so I guess it has a more wistful feel to me now.

How wise you are, and how close to my own feelings... I love bardic poetry, this style recalls me the one of Taliesin... got a poem alike on my gallery..... [link]
